The Benefield House Jefferson is located at the intersection of Routes 49 and 59 in Marion County, Texas, about 170 miles east of Dallas and about 55 miles west of Shreveport, Louisiana. Please use the directions and map below. The internet and GPS devices show Moseley Street as going straight through to Route 59; it does not. From the North and Traveling South on Route 59Traveling South on Route 59, you will enter Jefferson and make a left at the traffic light at Route 49 (Broadway Street). Go 6 blocks and make a hard right (45 degrees) on Line Street. Go 8 blocks and we are on the right side, number 1009. From the South and Traveling North on Route 59Traveling North on Route 59, you will enter Jefferson and turn right at the blinking light on FM 2208. You will go through another blinking light and then you will go over the Big Cypress Bayou. At the next traffic light, make a left on Austin Street and go 5 blocks to Line Street. Make a left and we are the third house on the right, number 1009. The Barry Benefield House is located at 909 South Line Street. It is a private residence. We are 4 doors down from there. |
